Shello everyone. I'm updating just to update & because I can't sleep. Little miss is in 12 month clothes & still size 2 diapers, they fit just fine. I'll probably keep her in them for a while longer since they go to 18 lbs. Size 3 doesn't start til 16 & honestly she probably won't be 16 lbs for another 2 months. We do use size 3 snug & dry at nights because she needs more absorption & huggies are smaller than pampers. I get frustrated by size 12m clothes because of the great variance. Some 12m are getting small which other are still quite big on her. Doesn't help she's so skinny. Lots of 12m pants are too big in the waist but 9m pants/shorts are too short. Oh well, I love my petite princess.
We still don't have a walker but that's good. She's quick enough on her hands & knees. She used her walking helper/toy yesterday by herself. It's been a battle trying to get her to use it but she did a little yesterday, then while I was messing with my phone I saw her use it walk towards her couch. YAY! I was quite happy! She's climbing now. We got her a little tikes slide but one that has a "rock" wall you climb up first & she's climbed that once. Now she nows how to get up on the couch which scares me crazy. Daddy lets her play with the remote & his phone so now she gets up there to get mommy's. If mommy puts it on the back of the couch she stands up on the couch to get them. She smiles real big too because she knows mommy says No & means No. Little miss has BIG attitude like her mommy. She will give you the serious look & she's quite an animated jabber. She gets her arms going & expressions going. It's so funny & I love it. It's going to be fun when she's actually talking. She says mama, dada, hi, & a few other things. She likes to wave & say hi. She's use to dada coming home from work so anytime someone walks in you hear "hi dada, hi", even when I walk back into the house. Daddy's girl much? Much too much! She loves to be read to & will hand me books now(I keep a few on the end table next to where I always sit). She's a really good eater when she wants to be, variety & amount. Still not so keen on meats but loves to eat what mommy & daddy are eating. We have breakfast together every morning & she'll share with mommy. She tends to tease everyone else but she'll share with me. She's also a good kisser. For the longest time she'd kiss everyone else but not mommy. Now she'll kiss me all the time & not so much daddy. All I have to do is make the lips & she'll kiss me and sometimes she'll insist on being kissed. My lovey baby. :) Katie is pretty much a happy go lucky baby or toddler which is really nice. Her happiness rubs off on you. I'm sure most babies are like that, it's just nice she is too. Being a mom is the best thing in the world & I still can't believe she came from me. It still awes me that I was pregnant & I was given that amazing gift, to know & feel my baby growing inside of me. Katelyn, you are so loved!

1 Year Check Up!
Yesterday was my baby's 1 year check up & poor baby. I was told by a friend & even the doctor that she'd get 3 shots. Go to the shot room & he tells me 4. Hold up, what?! He told me I could put it off if I wanted but I figured she's pissed & hurting so let's just get it over with. She also had bloodwork which she wasn't happy about but it was more pissed there were more needles involved & being held down. She stopped crying right away. She was my happy go lucky girl until evening when her legs started hurting. Poor girl. Her legs are still sore but I'm giving her pain stuff. Also slight fever but also, pain/fever stuff is working. :)
So the stats on my munchkin!!! I was hoping she'd be at least 15 lbs, she feels quite heavy & seeing as she was 14lbs 13oz last time she had to gain a few ounces right. Yup, a few it was.

14 lbs 15 oz & 27.25 inches long
Just for my info, she's still in 9 month clothes but some are getting small (tear tear). She also wears a few 12m clothes & soon I'll start moving more 12m clothes over. She's still in size 2 diapers but could probably move up to 3's also. Size 2 huggies snug & dry are probably too small so good thing I have 2 bags of 3's ready. We can probably keep her in her Pampers Swaddlers in size 2 until we're out since the run bigger.
So, she is small, basically 15 lbs at 12.5 months, but the doctor said she's perfectly healthy. He could see she's active & a normal 12 month old so he's completely fine with her smaller size. That was nice. We saw a different doctor yesterday & I hope to see him at her 15 month appt. He's a FAR better doctor than her previous one.

Our 1 Year Old
Tell me I'm dreaming & my beautiful baby isn't a year old already. We've have a crazy busy few weeks & Katie has grown so much in them. She feels like she's gained a pound which isn't much for most babies but for miss petite it would be. I don't know if she's actually gained a lb or not, her appt isn't until the 12th due to our CA trip. I'll know in a week how big my baby girl is. :) I still need to do her footprints for my feet book. :)
My guesstimates. I don't know if she's grown much so I'm guessing still about 27 inches & 15-15.5 lbs. I could/could've weighed her on the scale but nah, I'll wait. Give her time to gain a little more. :)
Eating. Oh, don't try to give this girl baby/pureed foods. No thank you!!! She refuses all pureed fruits/veggies now & has for a few weeks. She eats like a big girl thank you very much!
Foods: She really likes bread & any type of potatoes. She's a starch girl. She likes mac & cheese & hot dogs without skin. We've tried pb&j and grilled cheese. She's not so big on chunks of meats yet but we keep trying. We've discovered she likes celery(with or without pb) & mushrooms. Sometimes broccoli & olives. She likes to take bites of food rather than having it cut/broke up for her. She wouldn't eat chunks of peach but had no issues taking bites of a whole one. She'll eat eggs & bacon, of course cereal. Today she ate whole grapes after not caring for them before. I've been surprised by what she seems to not like anymore & surprised by what she seems to really like. She's not too picky of an eater but she has her times.
Missy has nearly 6 teeth. Teeth 3 & 4 have been so slow to come in & pop over night teeth 5 & 6 were coming. On her birthday tooth 5 was through & 6 was breaking through. Now you see all 4 top teeth when she smiles & weirdly enough I think 7 & 8 coming. She's been teething bad the last 2 days. It took longer for her to get her first 2 but pop overnight were coming. 3 & 4 were slowbirds but 5-6 overnights too. So I'm guessing 7-8 will be slow painful ones. :( Poor baby!
Katie isn't walking by herself yet but she's chugging along. She crawls like a normal baby (on hands & knees) & sometimes tries to stand up that way. She has no problems standing up using the table/couch/whatever & will walk along it fine. She'll walk while holding your fingers also. She's getting brave & has started letting go on the couch/table and I've started to let go when I know she's balanced. She usually only lasts a second but hey, it's better than nothing. When we get back home I think she'll start using her push-walker & before I know it she'll be walking by herself. :( It's happening fast, oh so fast!!
I have a 1 year old & I can't believe it. A year ago I had this tiny not even 6 lb baby girl! Where is the rewind button? :)

11 Months
Please tell me I'm dreaming & my darling daughter is NOT 11 months old already?! Where the heck has the time gone? I do not know. I'm planning her 1st birthday party! All the decorations & party supplies have been ordered & are shipping. Pink & purple lady bug theme!!! We do call her Bug so what else would her theme be? She's growing SO fast! I ordered a custom 1st birthday outfit & a onesie with her name on it.
Accomplishments: She's still a little behind other babies her age but she's getting there. She's now pulling up to her knees & indicates wanting to go up to feet but she's scared. When I get her up in the morning or after nap I offer my hands & she'll pull herself up to standing. It's just when she's pulling herself up on her toy she's afraid of going to feet. She's starting to take steps when I sway her body. :) She can mostly crawl, she's using knees now instead of mostly arms but it still looks like an army crawl. It's funny actually. She's mimicing what we say & Uh-oh is the clearest, thanks to daddy.
For my little record: We just moved her up to size 9m & most of it is still big on her. Size 2 diapers & will probably be another month or two for those, especially swaddlers. Teeth 3 & 4 are almost here, it'll only be another day or two I think. I can see the holes where they'll be.
She's weighing about 14.5 lbs, she is a slow slow gainer I tell ya. I'm guessing still about 26 inches.
Father's Day was good. I did photos of Katie holding D & A and put them in 3 picture frame, she wore a "daddy's girl" onesie in the pictures. Also wrote "Happy" "Father's" "Day 2013" on each photo. I might do the same thing/idea next year since he'll be gone.
Well, that's about it. Have a great day! Can't believe this year is halfway over! :)

10 Months Old
10 months old & still not a hippo! I am amazed at how big babies are nowadays. I keep hearing about all these bigger babies & here I have little miss petite. My sister told me about a coworker whose 3 weeks old weighs over 11 lbs. My 6 month old was just under 12 lbs. I love my itty bitty beautiful daughter & can't imagine her being so much bigger than she is.
What our 10 month can do or does:
Still not pulling up or perfectly crawling but she can get where ever she wants when she wants, usually faster than mommy or anyone sees. Her crawling is still her pulling with her arms, quite well actually, & she has started adding knees or I should say a knee. :) She rolls EVERYWHERE. She gets around amazingly. I think she prefers rolling because leg warmers/leg rolls/whatever you want to call them don't stay on her legs so her knees get irritated on the rough carpet. She does the out of water swimming a lot, kicking her arms & legs out while on her belly. It's so silly. She can stand with assistance for quite a long time & we're working on her walking with assistance but not really there yet. I'm ok with that. She loves being outside & mommy loves her cuddle times. Katie eats exceptionally well. So while she might be behind on standing/walking, she's doing amazing on eating. She eats her baby puffs & cheerios without any problem & she feeds herself really well. She takes bites & I'm not talking itty bitty bites, my girl knows what she wants & she takes good bites. She gets her yogurt, fruits, veggies, & meat during the day but I've also started feeding her what we have at dinner. She has no problem with rice, smashed beans, & pasta. She loves to eat what we're having. Having mexican she eats beans & rice from my plate (or if at home her own bowl), having fries- she gets small pieces. She has choked a few times but that's part of growing up & learning. Just like a few bumps & bruises, or a dent in your forehead. No worries, the dent didn't stay. :) She's also really good with a sippy cup & can even drink from a small/thin (coffee) straw. She gets excited to drink from a straw & eat big people food. :)
We had a doctor's appt because she was concerned about her lack of weight gain before. I won't go into my thoughts, other than I think they're complete idiots. They entered her 9 months weight wrong into the computer & didn't listen as I repeatedly corrected that. According to them she only gained 3 oz in a month when in fact it was 13. I know what the scale said, I'm always so anxious to see it. She's fine though & doesn't have to go back until a year. I finally got some help for the constipation issue. I learned Mike's brother had the same issue & unfortunately my daughter got that stupid gene from her father's side. Doctor told me one thing & I've been doing that but yesterday she told me "oh no, don't do that". So now I have a real solution or at least what I hope will be a solution for that issue. Poor baby girl!
Lucky for Bug she's gotten to see both sides of our family in May. Mike's mom & grandma arrived May 3rd & stayed for 5 days & my parents arrived this Wednesday(29th) & will stay a week.
So, for pictures I suppose!

9 Months Old
My how time is flying. Our mini munchkin is 9 months old, 3/4 to 1! What?! Crazy! Today she had her 9 months appt. Her head size is fine & her height is now within the spectrum, 25.75inches(5%), but her weight of course is not. I'm sorry I don't have a heffer baby. She's just not gaining. I've had issues with her pediatrician before & I continue too. I was basically told to force feed my daughter because she's not gaining & not eating enough food. My daughter controls how much she eats, not me! She only eats about half of what she's suppose too but once again, it's not because I'm not feeding her. "If you stretch her stomach she'll eat more". Because it's so easy to make a baby eat more than she wants too. Trust me I've tried. I've tried to make her finish her bottle or finish the last bites of food. A baby will not do what she/he doesn't want to do! So now Miss Tiny is on a newborn eating schedule. 6 times a day, every 2.5 hrs. My daughter may be tiny & not gaining much weight but she's thriving. She's nearly to crawling, she rolls everywhere, she can feed herself snacks & drink from a sippy cup. She smiles all the time & loves games. She's tiny & she'll be that way for a long time, I wish people would accept it. I can understand why the pediatrician would be worried about her not gaining a lot, IF my daughter was falling way behind. She's not. She may not be advanced on motor skills but she's thriving & growing everyday. Anyways,
My munchkin!!
Loves solid foods. Yogurt, Oatmeal, Fruits, & Veggies. Especially when in chunk form so she can chew it. She loves chewing foods. Drinks from a sippy. Jabbers all the time! Has said MAMA!!! And not just jabbering "mamamamamama" & pretending that's "mama". She's actually repeated "Mama" to me. :) Sleeps 10 hours a night (hooray!). Just moved her up to 6-9 month clothes last week & she wears size 2 diapers. :) A happy healthy tiny baby!

8 Months
My sweet 2/3 of a year baby girl! I can't believe it. She went through a major growth spurt. She went from wearing 3-6 to 6m being a little big but good in a week & to 6m fitting perfectly the next week. WOAH! Stop growing! :) She looks chunky but she's still petite. 13.2 lbs on her 8 month birthday. I keep seeing/reading/hearing about these 2 month olds who weigh what she did at 5. They'll probably be her size by 4 months. Her 8 month size! Oh yup, 2 Jehovah Witnesses just came to the door & thought she was 4 months old. :) My extremely petite baby girl!
She's still just rolling around. She'll get up on her knees & try to push but that just knocks her over. The last 2 weeks she's started sitting up better. I typically put her down on her butt & if she falls over she falls over. I think she likes to be flat so she can roll to whatever toy she wants or roll where ever she wants. Her feet touch the ground now in her exersaucer & walker and she's moved the walker a little. She pulls herself around in a circle in the exersaucer. She'll be a late crawler & walker but oh well. Why crawl when you can roll? She wants to eat like a crawler though. I've been giving her the yogurt melts for about a month now. She has no problem eating those and she's munched on my banana before. I'm going to start giving her small chunks of veggies to see how she does. Sometimes she's great about getting the yogurt melts in her mouth & sometimes not great. She's learning. She's been sleeping through the night lately, without needing a binkie replace or diaper change. Well, that's about all. My cute petite little barely over 13 pounds baby girl.
