14 weeks

Here we are, another week down! 14! I dealt with morning sickness earlier this week but it might've been partly from the prescription prenatals. I switched to Target brand & started keeping down breakfast, thank goodness! A little heartburn & lots of back pain. Insomnia of course.

So, our bugaloo is...
Roughly 3.5-4 inches ctr which is roughly the size of a LEMON! &
Weighs roughly 1 ounce!

So big but weighs so little! Everyday he/she is growing & thriving. I can't wait to see him/her again on Tuesday when I find out exactly how far I am (14 or 16 weeks). I don't know if they'll give me pictures but I hope they can. I'll at least ask for a copy of the measurements. I want to record it again but I want to be able to focus on the screen too. I love watching the first video, watching the baby twitch & seeing the profile of him/her. I could do that again, be able to watch it every day if I wanted & also share with family. Tough one! Anywho, there it is. I'm 14 weeks pregnant! Crazy & still in denial at times, most of the time. It's glorious!

The ticker on this page says baby is 4 inches long & weighs 2.5 ounces. That sounds way better!!! :)

13 Weeks

Trimester Two - Weeks 13 through 27
13 weeks, 2nd trimester! How amazing! Truly Truly Amazing! :)

Baby C should measure approx. 2.5 to 3 inches from ctr!(crown to rump) or about the size of a peach. Aww, my peachy baby! :) Baby C should weigh about .5-.8 ounces. His/Her vital systems are all fully developed. Time to concentrate on GROWING! Up to 1 inch a week. Isn't that crazy! It makes me happy!

My ticker is saying Baby C should be 3 1/2 inches long & weigh 1 1/2 oz. How confusing! Which one do you believe?! Maybe 3 1/2 inches including legs. :) It also says he/she can make sounds now. That's exciting!

Weeks 1-9, I didn't know I was pregnant. Weeks 9-12.5 were pretty easy & calm. The last few days have been scary but I've stayed calm. I'm sure a lot calmer than most preggos would be. I just take comfort in the fact that some women just bleed during pregnancy. That it's not abnormal & that our baby was completely fine on Thursday. That I got to see our munchin & see the heart beating. I will continue to pray for God to keep our baby safe & healthy. That's all I can do. Stay calm & put my trust in God. :)

We are 13 weeks pregnant, hello second trimester. I hope to see lots of you! 14 weeks of you in fact! :)

Scary

Today has been by far the scariest day of this whole pregnancy. I started bleeding, not spotting but bleeding! I panicked but then realized I need to stay calm & see if it continued. Welp, 30 mins later & a little more blood I call the OB. I'm told to call back in 30 mins if the doctor hasn't called me. Well, apparently it was an answering service, not the actual office. BOO! Right before calling I go to the bathroom again. I can't tell you how much you have to pee when you're trying to NOT to! A big amount again & I am officially panicking. So I call at 1:50, get put on hold for a while, but then told to come in. I just kept going over how they couldn't find the heartbeat on doppler & how I didn't see it on the u.s. like they said. Get there, sign it, & wait. Oh lord, please don't make me wait!!! It was only about 5 mins but it seemed like forever. Get back there, they try comforting me by telling me bleeding isn't that uncommon in pregnancy. Yea right people, you're not suppose to bleed. Spot, I understand, but bleed?! Ok Ok, enough of miss paranoid. Doctor comes in & it's time for dildo cam, hehe.

Up pops our baby. Our squirmy wormy baby! I taped it on my phone & it was such a short time, I wish I could've watched it for longer! Video doesn't do it justice, seeing it in person is the most amazing thing ever! On the video you can't see it but I saw the heart beating! Amazing doesn't describe it at all! Surreal, it's so surreal!

The doctor couldn't find the reason for my bleeding but as he said "you're definitely bleeding". Yes thank you, I had noticed. He was really nice though & told me he'd come do this every day if he had too. Don't think the OB office would appreciate me coming in every day though.

Wow, I saw our baby for the very first time & it truly was unbelievable. Someone pinch me please!

OB Appt!

There was good & bad to my appt today & since I've calmed down I will try to be more levelheaded.

Good: I enjoy the staff at the office. They're very nice & address you by your name. They didn't argue with me about how far I was & understand I could be only 12.

Bad: They could not find the heartbeat on doppler even though 3 people tried. They got a ultrasound machine supposely only for heartbeat checks & supposely found one after 5 mins of very very painful pushing. Honestly, it hurt like hell. But they reassured me (the 3 times I asked "are you sure?") they saw the heartbeat. I saw a white dot that didn't move and no baby around said dot. But they're the experts! :)

Good: The well women exam was very quick and she said she believes I am in fact 14 weeks, not 12, but they'll verify with an ultrasound. Yay!

Bad: Ultrasound isn't until Valentine's Day!!! I have to wait 15 more days until I know for sure whether I am on my timeline or 2 weeks ahead. I will either be 14 or 16 on Vday. Interesting. If I am in fact 16 on Vday then I was 11 weeks pregnant when I found out. But anywho!

It was good & bad. I'm having a hard time not being able to hear the heartbeat or see it BUT I must trust the doctors. And in 2 weeks I will be able to see my baby & know how big he/she is! Exciting! :)

12 weeks

We are 12 weeks pregnant now, so surreal. It still seems unreal to talk about baby stuff for me/us, for our baby. I honestly thought I've never be here, meaning pregnant. We weren't done trying to get pregnant, we were going to start getting help this year, in the next few months in fact. I don't know if it's because we weren't actually trying, that getting pregnant was on the backburner because of the holidays & family. I mean I tried to get pregnant, I knew I might be ovulating & I was hoping for the best but I guess because I'm just so use to not ovulating, so use to failing at getting pregnant that I just wasn't thinking about it. We did our thing & then it was done. I focused on other things, family & the upcoming weeks. Never even thinking that there was even a tiny chance of it working, of us actually getting pregnant. But apparently we did. And this little nugget is one strong little being. He/She held on through a lot and I will always be thankful for such a strong baby! It was truly meant to be! So, enough sap, onto the details!!!

Baby C will grow this week from 2.5 to 2.8 inches and he/she weighs around .3 to .5 ounces.
So amazing! To think about our baby growing every single day, bigger & stronger!

What's been happening with me AKA symptoms: Nausea & Breast Tenderness have slowly went away but has come back with gusto lately. No nausea on Thursday but it was loud & proud yesterday! Today my breasts are quite sensitive/sore. I have my first real case of heartburn this morning which makes me smile. Oh, the morning insomnia apparently is back, hopefully not for too long. I think the most amazing part so far is feeling/knowing our baby is growing. I know when there is extra pressure & more pains that our baby is growing and he/she was yesterday. It truly amazes me. That even this early I can feel my body making room for baby. Or baby making room for itself. :) Whichever it be.

My first real OB appt is Monday & I should get to hear the heartbeat. For the first time ever! The pregnancy tests, the symptoms, the unreal, will become REAL! I know hearing the heartbeat will take my breath away & make this pregnancy oh so real. Hearing the heartbeat, knowing that's OUR baby, will be so ... I don't even know. It's just going to be a whole new world! Our baby's heartbeat! I can't wait!

OB appt!

To say this appt, which was really only a nurse q & a session, was annoying is putting it lightly. This office & the nurses refuse to believe me when I tell them I did not get pregnant during week 2 of my cycle. That I got pregnant one month after my period. So, because of that....they are insisting I am 13 weeks 3 days pregnant instead of the 11 weeks 2 days that I know I am! I tested on Thanksgiving, I was not pregnant. She eventually started referring to my pregnancy length as "our estimate 13/3 & yours 11/2". GRRR! This office does not do ultrasounds at all unless something doesn't measure right. My first real appt is Monday, yay, & I WILL get an ultrasound because I know I will not measure 14/3 like they insist. If I measure 10 days or more less than their estimate then they will do an ultrasound. So yay, my first ultrasound! And the only one until my 18-20 week one which I do believe my husband should be back in time for!!! YAY! Awesome. We can guess the gender at that one but they won't tell us. Those will be my only 2 ultrasounds of this whole pregnancy unless I go elsewhere & pay for them which I might! You expect ME to be able to tell gender from a most likely shitty machine? Come on!

So, I had my first "ob" appt & I have my first REAL OB appt next week. I am glad I'm getting in so soon. I wish it were this week, I wish my husband could see the baby before his month training thing but it is what it is & I'll text him a picture. :) They better print me a picture!! :) Anywho, that's all. Frustrated Preggo Lady! Oh she cared not about my concern of losing the baby. "As long as you don't bleed or cramp badly you're fine". GRRR! Fuck you nurse, fuck you! Though she was nice even though she treated me like an idiot. I know my body thank you, I know when I got pregnant! But because of their refusal to listen I will get my ultrasound in 7 days! :)

11 weeks

Here we are, 11 weeks pregnant! It doesn't feel real & yet it seems like farther along. This week was very long. I feel like it should be higher than 11 but I have to relax & not rush it. Next week will be 12 & then 13 and our first trimester will be over. :)

Baby Stats:
Growing from 1.8 to 2.3 inches long this week, about the size of a lime. Aww, our limey baby!
Baby C should weigh about .3 oz.

I'm told the next 9 weeks will be a huge growing spurt but won't the rest of the pregnancy be too. We're only at 2 inches which is still amazing but far from the 18-22 normal babies are born at. Grow Baby C, Grow!!! :)

My first appt is Monday but as I've said, it's just Q & A! I can't wait to my first REAL appt. Where I get to see our baby! I really hope they can get me in this week before Mike has to leave for his month training thing. It'd be awesome if he got to see our baby before leaving. I know that's some HIGH hopes but I'll have them. :)

11 weeks, we are 11 weeks pregnant! I still can't believe there is a baby, our fetus, growing inside me. :)
